Chinon 2500GL 8mm projector page
9-14-25: Chinon products have been great for me, and nobody else wants them. This cost me $5.99 plus freight.The pictures showed it lit up, but later I noticed the lens wasn't in place. Hope it's in the box. If not I'll use the lens from the broken GAF projector, which is a close match. This is a silent "dual 8" projector. Shipped today, should be here in a few days.9-18-25: Arrived today not working. The lens is missing, and it's mount is broken. The front case is missing, but the power cord and take-up reel were included. It seemed to be jammed, but I opened the back and moved the gears by hand to loosen it up. The adapter for super-8 is missing. And it was dusty. Cleaned it inside and out, one screw on top removes the entire front panel. Borrowed a lens from the dead GAF projector, wrapped it in electrical tape till it fit, and loaded up a Woody Woodpecker cartoon to test. This projector has variable speed and runs forward and reverse. Can stop on a single frame. It's louder than the GAF's, but has a simple design and light weight that I like. The autoload feature worked perfectly. It rewinds reel-to-reel. Will shoot some shots of the insides.
